Donja Stubica - map location
Donja Stubica a town in the region of Hrvatsko Zagorje, 6 km southeast of Zabok; about 40 km northeast of Zagreb on the north slove of Medvednica. The population is 5,930 in 10 boroughs, with 2,524 people in Donja Stubica itself (census 2001), with a total area of 44.6 km².
It is part of the Krapina-Zagorje County, which covers the Hrvatsko Zagorje mountain region north of Zagreb up to the border with Slovenia. Economy is based on farming, metal-processing, wood and timber, and food industries, as well as tourism.
