Hraščina - map location

Hrašćina is in the Krapina-Zagorje county in Croatia. According to the 2001 census, there are 1,826 inhabitants in the area. Hrašćina is known for first fall of meteorite viewed by significant number of withnessed. Hrašćina meteorite proved that rocks really can "fall from the skies".

The centre of the parish is in Hrašćina, where is the church St. Nicola. The biggest enterprise is the section of the company VIS from Varaždin, in Kraljevec Gornji. The managers of the community give the special attention to the construction of the road to connect the place with the highway Goričani-Zagreb, and to stimulate the development of craftsmanship and private enterprises.
