Novi Golubovec - map location

Novi Golubovec is a village and municipality in Krapina-Zagorje county in Croatia. According to the 2001 census, there are 1,073 inhabitants in the area. The firstexploitationof coal mines started in 1875. The property of the coal mines went from one to other hands of various counts, aristocratic families.After the mines were closed, the industry of tool-machines and construction material were established. The future of the county is in the development of the small familiar enterprises in order to employ more young people.
