Stubičke Toplice - location maps

Stubičke Toplice is a village and municipality in Krapina-Zagorje county in Croatia. According to the 2001 census, there are 2,752 inhabitants in the area. The first written document in this area date from 1209, when under the name “Teplitz Bey Stubitcza”, Stubica was mentioned. Probably the spa was used in the antique times. The first modern developmentof Stubičke Toplice occurred in the 18 and 19th century. In 20th century Stubičke Toplice becomes the popular thermal spa in the whole Europe. Recently Stubičke Toplice is the beloved destination for recreation and excursion of people of Zagreb.

Stubičke Toplice offers a variety of sports and recreational facilities (outdoor, and indoor swimming pools, solarium, fitness centres, miniature golf, table tennis, boccia alleys, etc.) and promenades. The gastronomic offer is extremely rich and includes many of the Zagorje region specialities, such as turkey with mlinci -  a kind of home-made pasta, blood sausages, cottage cheese with sour cream, home-made smoked ham, zagorski strukli -cottage-cheese strudel , maize bread and local wines.
